If you want a correct early first type Vac Major here is one. Emerald green, double striped jewels and striped section, 5 1/4" long, first type major band and correct 'stepped' cap and barrel tassies, Archer's Arrow clip, and Speedline filler. It's a correct un-messed with first type Major. The first majors were 1937 pens, this pen is dated first week, second quarter, 1938 with a clear sharp imprint. The trim style changed in late '38, and the Blue Diamond came along in 1939. The matching two-tone extra fine nib is dated second week, second quarter, 1938. The pen has been completely dissambled and internally cleaned including the section, feed and nib. Re-assembled with a new diaphram and the nib and feed reset. Here's what this pen doesn't have. Any scratches, engravings, chews, cracks, chips, buggered threads, posting ring, or brassing, the transparency is average as shown in the pics. This is a collection quality pen, though not mint, so you could use it in rotation is you chose. Here's the deal. I've collected these since 1987. I'm just retired and am about to treat myself to a new 600 hp Camaro Z/28, so a lot of goodies are going to go.
